Iran is the 4th crude oil producer in the world,so imposing sanctions or taking military actions aginst it will impact the oil price drastically.
But this is not what I am concerend about.I am highly worried of unfortunate Iranians who will suffer the outcomes of sanctions or military actions against Iran.Obviously Bush administration is going the same process they went in Iraq, some more hardliners are hitting the drums of war. They will allege some false propaganda aginst iran that iran has some secret programs to make nuclear warheads or already reached the enrichment .
I am so afraid of future.I have finished school.I am looking for a job.Whatever USA is going to do will have high impact on my future as ordinary citizen of this hell hole.If the security council imposes sanctions.Life will get much harder here.I really don't want things happened to Iraqis happen to my people,we don't deserve that..God nothing is worse than begging for lowest levels of needs as healthy water or healthy food and secutiry.I remember oil for food programs .how many iraqi children died?how many people died because
of shortage of medical care..God damned politicians don't know about what their decisons might do to our lives as simple citizens of these behated countries nor my own countrymen know..fuck'em all
All I want is to have peaceful normal life like everyone else.Dating guys, working and making money, perhaps to see the world if I survive.
Life is box of chocolate, pick one and you'll have cruise missile in your ass..(Forest Gump touring around middleeast)

To the freind from USA,I don't want to remember CIA interference on 1953 and the Coup which led overthrown Mosadeq the one who wanted to rebuild iran again on Democracy. However, these kind of example can be found in history of every middle eastern country.I don't want to be pessimist but it seems to me no matter what we people want here or try to achieve, there would be some big daddy out there deciding for us...

Dear Rasko, yes you might be right ,Iraq, with just over 20 million people, a flat terrain and a dilapidated military has given USA lots of trouble. If Bushie adminstration tries Iran, which has nearly 70 million people, a mountainous terrain and a much more effective military there would be much more trouble than they can expect. But I guess we shouldn't ever underestimate uncle Sam...Duste aziz movafagh bashid

There won't be a military action against Iran. Not because we are afraid of Iran, but because we have shifted our foreign policy away from nation-building. We don't have the political capital needed to attack Iran. Moreover, Iran population is young, educated, intelligent, and understands the West (for the most part). We see Iran becoming a democracy on its own, without our help or military intervention. All we are concerned about is the nuclear weapons...

Dear Ian,do you consider Tactical Tomahawk cruise missiles fired from US navy ships and submarines in the Gulf ,B2 stealth bombers equipped with eight 4,500lb enhanced BLU-28 satellite-guided bunker-busting bombs, flying from Diego Garcia aiming Iran's air defence as military action?it can blow up Iran in blink of an eye!But I hope you're right .I pray there is no military action.I hope tomorrow is a better day...

nation buliding? by united states? that's ridiculous at best.I don't think any reasonable adult would count the mess in Iraq and Afghanistan as effective nation building efforts.
And in case of Iran the history of their policies speaks for itself: the coup against Mosadegh just when the time was ripe for a genuine democracy in our country is just one example. Not to mention shooting down a passenger plane in the gulf and calling it a military 'blunder'. Our young, intelligent and educated people may not be satisfied with every aspect of the situation here but they still have enough reasons to be pissed off with the west and sick and tired of their inability to understand us.
You know,we can repair and paint our own house and we don't need others to do it if they want to own it for themselves afterwards. If we like to have painters and carpenters later,we will pay them and kick them in the ass if they'll do a bad job.

To those who think that the U.S. is only worried about nuclear weapons:
North Korea, Pakistan, India, Syria all have or are suspected of having nuclear weapons. Why don't we hear anything about these countries on the news anymore? Why has the attention focused to Iran? Surely, if the U.S. is so worried about WMDs then, nuclear weapons anywhere in the world would be a threat to its precious national interest. So why Iran? Because Iran is at the center of U.S. economic and strategic interest. And may it serve as a reminder: Russia, Iran, and Qatar have 60% of the world's oil. The U.S. has 3%. So please don't talk about "concern" of "nuclear weapons."
